It has become absolutely necessary to start taking flute lessons at a very early age, very similar to learning how to play the violin, in order to have chances for a future professional career.In addition, also children and families choose to take lessons right after the early musical training.
For the youngest children an especially light flute (until d1) has been developed which has no trill keys, but finger buttons.Also the c key (2nd finger left) was lowered and moved to the 3rd finger as close as possible

The exact positioning of the buttons has been tested with numerous children and their teachers.
In most cases, a flute without buttons can already be used for children who are seven to eight years old, depending on the size of their hands and the span of their fingers.
This flute has a foot joint ranging until c1 and trill keys.It is a fully equipped flute.
After a few years this flute can be changed into a straight flute.In this case, Jupiter offers an Extention Kit at a very low price.
It consists of
- a coupling part, which extends the flute in the middle,
- a straight head joint,
- a new case,
- and an appropriate cover.
Awards
In the 9/2011 edition of the magazine NEWS the flute with Omega head joint according to the wave-line patent was placed among the top 5 of the Zukunftspreis (Future Award) of the City of Vienna.In 2012 the flute won a Houska Recognition Prize and in 2013 a reddot honourable mention.
