The Flute Ensemble Edition of the Vienna Flautists
Barbara Gisler-Haase and Fereshteh Rahbari, founding members of the Vienna Flautists, present an extraordinary collection for flute ensemble. Since 1983, the ensemble’s international concert activities have resulted in a diverse repertoire for up to eight flutes – ranging from piccolo to contrabass flute.
The edition combines arrangements and original works from the Renaissance to the present day. Inspired by piano and string literature, these pieces open up new soundscapes for flute ensembles and flute orchestras.
Flexible instrumentations and audio samples from the Vienna Flautists’ CD catalog make these works especially practical for teaching and performance.
