JUBAL TRIO Vienna
The Jubal Trio Vienna was founded in 1997 and performs original works for flute, cello, and piano, ranging from classical to modern compositions.
The combination of these three instruments offers particular appeal: on the one hand, their individual tonal qualities merge into a homogeneous whole, while on the other hand, they inspire each other through their different playing styles and engage in stimulating dialogue.
This also led to the choice of name: JUBAL is considered the ancestor of all string and flute players in the Old Testament (Genesis 4:21).
The repertoire includes works by J. Haydn, W.A. Mozart, J. Hummel, C.M. von Weber, B. Martinu, N. Rorem, J. Francaix, K. Huber, G. Crumb, and others, as well as the Triple Concerto by V. d’Indy for trio and orchestra.
In addition to international concert performances, the Jubal Trio has recorded CDs for Camerata Tokyo, Discover, and Gramola.
